Welcome to Aleshanee Australian Shepherds.  We are a small show kennel just north of Toronto, Ontario in Canada and we are totally owned by two amazing Australian Shepherds. We used to show dogs in in the 70's and when we decided to get back into the wonderful world of Show dogs, the Australian Shepherd met all of our requirements. In  the fall of 2006, we set out on our journey to find two Australian Shepherd puppies with all the right stuff.  We were in no hurry, as it was important  for us to take our time and purchase only when it felt right.  In February 2008, we received an email with a photo and pedigree that would take our breath away. She was simply all that we wanted in an Australian Shepherd puppy and on March 18, 2008, Takoda Aleshanee, a deep Blue Merle little lady with dark copper points and a large white collar, crossed our threshold and entered our lives forever.  We have never looked back.

Takoda is registered with five Breed Clubs and carries two different names depending on the registry, but by any name, she is simply a breathtakingly beautiful Australian Shepherd. Her 4 generation pedigree  boasts 29/30 Champion sires and dams and she is line breed to ASCA's Hall of Fame Sire - CH Bayshores Three to Get Ready (aka London) and yes, she is a talker just like him. Up dated pictures and show win pictures are in the Photo Album

Takoda enjoyed a leisurely puppyhood and has since gone on to win both her CKC Championship, her UCI International Championship and her United Kennel Club Championship, all by the age of 21 months. She has multiple Breed and Group wins.  Her show career will be put on hold while she takes part in her favourite sport  - Agility

Cheyenne Aleshanee

UKC CH Tucker Creek Cheyenne Aleshanee HIC

What more can we say.  Almost a year after Takoda arrived, our search for the ultimate deep Red Merle Australian Shepherd puppy came to an end the moment we saw Cheyenne. Her 4 generation pedigree boasts an incredible 8 ASCA Hall of Fame sires and dams.  She comes from solid working lines and combines the qualities of a Show dog and the drive of a working Australian Shepherd, not to mention she is downright gorgeous !

This girl can move.   Cheyenne was flown into Toronto and we picked her up on Feb 13, 2009. She was everything we had hoped for in an Australian Shepherd and she entered our lives forever.   We are grateful to Tanya Wheeler of Tucker Creek Australian Shepherds,  for allowing us to be Cheyenne's forever home over other more established Australian Shepherd kennels. Cheyenne has tremendous movement that is complimented by her dark red mahogany merling.  She turns heads where ever she goes.  She is amazing and although we don't want to rush her into adulthood, we can hardly wait to see her mature coat.  She will be stunning.

In her first UKC event, in November 2009, Cheyenne took the Breed each day, combined with a Group 1st, 2 Group 2nd's and a Group 4th to acheive all 100 points required for her UKC Championship.  She needs only 1 more win to finish.  Quite an accomplishment considering she was only 11 months old!  Play hard little girl, you are only young once and your day will come.  Takoda will be right there beside you to help you along.  Updated pictures are in the Photo Album

Did you know??

An International UCI Championship Title is achieved after a dog receives three Certificat d'Aptitude au Championat International de Beaut.

The certificates must be awarded by three separate judges, with at least two of the judges residing in different countries. At International Dog Shows, a written critique is provided for each dog, and a rating number is issued corresponding to how well the dog conforms to the International UCI breed standard.

A V-1 (Very Excellent) rating is the top rating for the adult dog classes.

Takoda achieved

all three V1 ratings back to back in three shows on 1 weekend.
